Alabama woman arrested on multiple charges

AUBURN, Ala. - On April 9, 2025, Auburn Police, with assistance from the Houston County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Beverly Annette Hardy, age 55, from Cottonwood, Alabama, on felony warrants charging her with theft of property first degree and possession of a forged instrument third degree.
The arrest stems from the Auburn Police Department receiving a report from a local bank that a fraudulent check was deposited into an account in Jan. 2025.
After further investigation, Beverly Annette Hardy was identified as the primary suspect.
Auburn Police obtained arrest warrants for theft of property first degree and possession of a forged instrument third degree. The Houston County Sheriff’s Office located and arrested Hardy in obedience to the warrants. On April 9, 2025, Hardy was transported to the Auburn Police Department and the warrants were executed.
Hardy was then transported to the Lee County Jail and held on a $6,500 bond.
All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
